The main objective of the health department is
to develop and maintain proper sanitation all across the city. As cleaning drive is the
regular basic work, this department launches a special drive for cleanliness in the city
during festivals. This department also helps localities and non-Municipal localities
during their cleaning drive by providing them labours, transport and machinery things.
Within this department
their exists a cell called Health Establishment-- Main functions of this cell are:
Deals with all the personal files of sweepers, mazdoors, drivers, etc.
Deals with lorry attendance.
Issue of notices to the repairers regarding construction of septic tank,
latrines, etc.
Appointments of sweepers, mazdoors, etc as temporary or permanent.
- And also suspension of sweepers, mazdoors, etc.
This department is divided into three zones as follow:
